PENNSAUKEN, NJ, August 4th – Lacas Coffee Company is celebrating 100 years of business in the Philadelphia Metro area this year, 2021. To help mark the occasion, the company has introduced a limited-edition Centennial Commemorative Coffee Tin. Each tin is filled with a 12-ounce bag of “Centennial Blend”, a celebratory name for the company’s flagship Original City Roast blend of Arabica coffees – sourced, blended, roasted, and sold by the company since its inception in 1921.

Seeking to give back to the community that has supported its business for 100 years, Lacas Coffee Company will donate a portion of the proceeds from tin sales to Philabundance, a nonprofit organization fighting hunger across Greater Philadelphia. Through a network of 350 partner agencies, Philabundance distributed over 50 million pounds of food to those in need from October 2019 through September 2020. Since the pandemic hit the Greater Philadelphia region, food insecurity has increased by up to 60%, with 40% of those seeking assistance doing so for the first time. We support our greater community in addressing this need.
